Hello, I am trying to figure out a formula to skip columns D, G, etc. when I drag an =cell value formulas in a different worksheet

Example:

Cell A1=B70 and B1=C70. When I drag the formula column D, G, and the 20 other columns are in the way.
Is there a way to skip pver those columns?

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
In your example, A1 = B70, B1 = C70, and what do you want to appear in C1 when you drag the formula to the next cell to the right?

Maybe the INDIRECT function would help?

Here, you could list "B70" in A2, "C70" in B2, "Q70" in C2, etc. and then use A1=INDIRECT(A2) copied right once you have the source addresses listed as text in e.g. A2:C2.
