Formula to Search Based on Font Color

Hello,

I have a spreadsheet which uses 2 different colors to designate how something is mailed. If it is mailed one way, there is a corresponding date in one column and if it is mailed the 2nd way, another date in another column. For example - code 1110 is in cell C1, date1 is in cell A1 and date2 is in cell B1. If 1110 is red, date A1 applies, if it's blue date B1 applies. 1110 is repeated in different columns. I am looking for a formula which can search in a specific column and return to me the correct date based on the font color. So for example, look in column C for 1110, if it's red, return me the date in the same row from column A, if it's blue return me the date in the same row from column B. Is this possible???

Thanks in advance for any help.

If it makes things easier, I don't have to use colors - I can enter different data such as 1110-B or 1110-R.
