Formula to Return Specific Value Based Off Another Cell

Hello Excel Guru's... My question is the following:

Im trying to calculate a maximum OR minimum value in a specific cell after a subtraction has happened.

Ive tried a variation of different methods but cant get the calculations to be dynamic to represents either a negative or positive numbers based on the math. I need to leverage the same formula for both ADJ GOAL columns since a team can either be on the 'Home' or 'Away' side

Home Team	Final Score	Home Adj Goal Differential (max 5)	Away Team	Final Score	Away Adj Goal Differential (max 5)
Green Team	30	5	Red Team	4	-5
Red Team	18	5	Green Team	12	-5
Green Team	2	1	Red Team	1	-1
