How can I get excel to round down to 2 decimal places when multiplying?

I have a $ amount in column C, and then in column D I need to multiply the value in C by 1.4.
So for example, if C4 = 124.11, then D4 would be =C4*1.4

The value it gives me is 173.754, but I need it to give me only 173.54. This number will be used in another calculation, so I can't just change the formatting to display up to 2 decimal places, I need that to be done in this calculation.

Thanks!!

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Try:

Excel Formula:
=ROUNDDOWN(C4*1.4,2)

That does work, but if I'm interpreting my set of data correctly when I apply that, it looks like it cuts off the decimals to 2 places (which is perfect) but it doesn't round that 2nd decimal place up/down based on the value of the 3rd decimal we are getting rid of, which I realize now I also need it to do.

For example -
So for example, if C6 = 105.49, then D6 would be =C6*1.4
105.49 * 1.4 = 147.686
I need the formula to then give me 147.69 (rounds the last decimal while cutting off the 3rd)
