Hi All,

Am trying to work on formuala which will give me efficieny ratio but i also want to factor number of working hours into the formula which i am not able to do it . Please help me with the tips . Have pasted two tables i.e Table 1 and Table 2, First table shows the actual time taken for the task against the standard time. Table 2 shows summary position of each staff.
If you look at table 2 efficiency ratio is more of C & D as they have taken less time but actual hours worked is lesser than A and B.

I want to derive a single formula which could factor efficiency as well as working hours taken by each staff.

Table 1

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Hi Vinod,

This sound like you want some weighting included in your formula but you do not mention what should take preference in the calculation.
Could you share what your desired result looks like?

Thanks jorismoerings for your reply, yes agree with you , i want to give wightage to working hours while calculating efficiency ratio. In the Table 2 i would like B to be ranked 1 and A to be ranked 2 as they has put in more working hours as well as they have completed their task before standard time.

regards,
Vinod
