I have a database export of item prices i want to import into another estimating program. This program requires the item prices to be in a named cell. I have a unique name in column A and want to create a named cell in column D with that name. Problem is i have 3000 rows and dont want to go through and name the cells manually. Can this be done with a formula or vba?

Im using office 2016.

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
If I understand your question correctly, this macro should do what you want...
Code:
Sub CreateNamedCells()
  Dim Cell As Range
  For Each Cell In Range("A1", Cells(Rows.Count, "A").End(xlUp))
    Cell.Offset(, 3).Name = Cell.Value
  Next
End Sub
