Hi there, and thank you in advance! I really, really appreciate this forum! :)

I have data which was not set up in an easy manner to pull information from, so I would love to see if this is possible to do:

I'd like to use a formula beneath each column, which would display values in a column (and the counts of each) from highest-in-number to lowest-in-number, in that column. For example,

before:
Column A
Bon boy
Bon boy
Bon boy
Yo girl
Yo girl
The cat

after:
Column A
Bon boy
Bon boy
Bon boy
Yo girl
Yo girl
The cat

Bon boy 3
Yo girl 2
The cat 1

Thank you... SO much, experts!! :)

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
I am not expert and I don't think one formula can do this.

The only manual way I can think of:
1. Copy all names from column A. Remove duplicate, put the unique name on a new column.
2. Do a count if formula, sort largest the smallest with expand selection.
3. Combine the name and count if result. =Name&" "& count if result
