Hi Everyone,

OK so I have sale recods in sheet1

Column J is the salespersons Name and Column R is the Date the sale was made

I need a formula in S2 that can tell me how many sales persons there are for the date in cell T2?

So cell "T2" has a date example "21/08/2017"

Now Down Column J are the salespersons names and down R are the dates.

So how can I count the number of salespersons who made a sale on date in "T2" (21/08/2017) when there are multiple entries for each sales person???

thanks

Tony

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Control+shift+enter, not just enter:

=SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(IF(1-($J$2:$J$400=""),IF($R$2:$R$400=$T2,MATCH($J$2:$J$400,$J$2:$J$400,0))),ROW($J$2:$J$400)-ROW($J$2)+1),1))
