Formula to check using only certain characters

I need help for a formula to verify that only certain characters are being used in an adjacent cell.

Example
Cell A1 value: [AA_Abcd]12345678;QS_Foujsf
Cell B1 formula: will check to ensure that only upper and lower case characters, square brackets and semicolon are used in cell A1

I am pretty sure this could be done with a macro but want to avoid using a macro if at all possible.
