Hi,
In the picture below I have a formula that calculates the STDEV of the totals of the rows in the table. Is there a formula that would calculate the STDEV for the totals, giving the same result, without the separate SUM formulas that are currently present in Col E?
Many thanks

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
=STDEV(MMULT(B4:D11, {1;1;1}))

Confirmed with Ctrl+Shift+Enter instead of just Enter.

That's brilliant thanks, but have just realised something that I didn't think of before (apologies) - there may be occasions where one of the columns (eg. Col D for example) doesn't have any data in it so the STDEV's would be calculated from just Cols B&C, can this be incorporated?
Rgds,
