Hello all

I hope you can help on this one

Column "M" is a sales value
Column "Z" has a Sales persons name in
Column "H" date the date format "2018-01-19"
Column "F" has the year
Cell "D4" has the sales person's name in (Drop down Table)
Cell "D7" has the Year" (Drop down Table)

I have a formula that adds up the current sales values against this year [=SUMIFS(M:M,ZZ,D4,FF,D7)], this figure is update each day.

What I need is the sales valve comparison from Last Year using the date in Column "H" and adding up to only "TODAY()"

Can anyone help on this please with a formula to do this, I am not even sure if this is possible.
[TABLE="width: 145"]
<colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody>[TR]
[TD][/TD]
[/TR]
</tbody>[/TABLE]

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Is column H a date formatted to look like it does or text? Test one of the dates with =ISNUMBER(H2). If i read right you want a year on year comparison?

I think Steve and I might be similarly confused.

If D7 is the year that you want the return for, but only up to the equivalent of today, then you need like....

Code:
   =SUMIFS(M:M,Z:Z,D4,F:F,D7,H:H,"<="&EDATE(TODAY(),-(YEAR(TODAY())-(D7))*12))

Hope that helps.
