Hi I've got two data sets, on two sheets in the same workbook.
The first is a set of columns signifying actions. It includes date, time action started and time action ended.
The second is a set of resulting actions that may or may not have occurred on the same date and between the times. It includes date, time on 24 hour clock, unique result.

I'm looking to build a formula or process that identifies the correct day, and then determine if the result falls within the time frame of the action, and then delivers the corresponding result cell .

Dates are set as a short date Mar3116, times are on a 24 hour clock.

Any hints as to what functions would be best to use?

Thanks,
Robert

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Can you please post some examples (screenshots would be helpful too)? It's not entirely clear what you are trying to achieve/
