=IF(F14="cancel";0;((D14*12)-(ABS(E13)-(D14*12)))-....

Please help! I seem to be stuck. The following formula doesn't seem to be working, but I can't figure out how to fix it.

1. The excel is aimed towards payments. Some pay in advance, which means that they have money "left over" for following lessons.
2. If someone cancels their lesson, then the formula works great.

3. But I can't seem to get the formula to carry over the "left over" to the following entry to be subtracted from the "bill due" as soon as (ABS(E13)-(D14*12) equals a negative number.

4. Essentially what I think is missing is that if the bold is negative, then it should "+" the number to (D14*12), if positive then "-" but i don't know how to write than into the formula.

Or perhaps there is another great idea how to make this work, I would be very thankful!

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
mbunkse, Good afternoon.

For me, your explanation is not very clear.

Remember that you understand your subject matter and we are only seeing a small part of it.

If you can put a small example with the expected result will help a lot.

If you wish, save your spreadsheet to a free website, www.sendspace.com and place the download link here.

I'm sure several colleagues will appear to help you resolve your question.

Have a nice day!

Thank you for the advice and the idea for the link. I tried to explain it, but i just quite didn't know how.

While I was waiting, i think i have actually figured it out! I think just talking through it helped, so in a way, thank you!
