Dear community,

First of all the background:

I am a discretionary trader and need a journal with different parameters. For this parameters excel formulas are required.

The formulas I am looking at are the following:

1) Longs won (this means the long position which I won)

The amount of "Longs won" should go in cell M2. The trades (whether short (sell) or long (buy) trades) are all starting from D7 - D130 (both longs and shorts are indicated). The profit/loss that I made is in column N7-N130. Here only the positive positions should be counted.

I have also "Longs lost, "Short won", "Short lost" but I guess it is the same formula with a =>0 or =<0

Here is the photo to have a better guidance.

Thank you for your help.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Thanks for letting me know. Glad it worked for you.
If you need options in the future you can also put the last criteria together like this,
">=" & 0
">=" & "0"
