Hi All, I would like to write a formula: IF Today() is a Friday then put the date in full ie: Friday 3 November 2023, if Today is not a Friday, then put the previous Monday's date in full IE: Monday 30 October 2023

Happy for a helper column if easier to write formula

thanks all

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Suppose the date is in B1
=IF(WEEKDAY(B1)=6,B1,B1-WEEKDAY(B1,2)+1)

with today()
=IF(WEEKDAY(TODAY())=6,TODAY(),TODAY()-WEEKDAY(TODAY(),2)+1)

Another option
Excel Formula:
=IF(WEEKDAY(TODAY(),2)=5,TODAY(),WORKDAY.INTL(TODAY()+1,-1,"0111111"))
