Hi,

Please can you help with resolving a formula query that I have.

I currently have the following formula =SUMIF(BF:BF, $C$3)

R:R has various values in.

BF:BF is a column with dates in.

C3 is 01/01/19 formatted as Jan 19.

I can get the total to work if the date in BF says 01/01/19 as it matches C3 but the result that I am trying to obtain is sum anything in column R if column BF has a Jan 19 date (i.e. 02/01/19, 05/01/19, 12/01/19, etc).

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

Regards

Andrew

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
How about
=SUMIFS(R:R,BF:BF,">="&C3,BF:BF,"<="&EOMONTH(C3,0))

Maybe:

=SUMPRODUCT(R3:R100,--(MONTH(BF3:BF100)=MONTH(C3)),--(DAY(BF3:BF100)=DAY(C3)))

I believe in your examples, you have the date formatted as YY/MM/DD.
