Hi All

I am trying to work out how to write a formula that would give me a result for finding the Friday nearest the last day in November but no later than Dec 1 the fact that it can include the 1st of December has this novice scratching his head.

I am attempting to create an annual planner that updates for each year and this is a local holiday that i want to include. I have been able to figure out the other fixed and floating holiday formulas but this one has me stuck, so any help greatly appreciated.

sincerely

Andrew

Excel Facts

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
This finds it for the current year.

=DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),12,1)-MOD(WEEKDAY(DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),12,1))+1,7)

Change YEAR(TODAY()) to whatever year you want to calculate for.
