column A -Code
ABC
ABC
ABD
ABD
ABD

Column B-Acct #
123456
234567
567890

Column C= Biz Site
A0000001234
A0000001234
A0000002345

i want to do a formula, that tells me how many accts per biz site for for example in the above A000001234 would have 2 accts for that biz site
i want it to be so column D gives the # where i can then do a pivot table off the data and it gave me a count of accts per biz site if that makes sense

Excel Facts

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
What is col A and B for?

so
D1 = 2 ?
D2 = 2 ?

i guess column A is mostly irrelevant, though in the pivot table i would eventually show how many accounts are associated with each unique officer code in column A.
Column B is the account numbers, which i need for how many accounts opened are associated with the biz site in column C
