Hi,

I am trying to conditionally format an entire row if a cell within that row has a particular entry.

So in Column "AQ" there is sometimes an entry that has the first 2 characters as "S-" and after(no space) there will be a string of numbers between 4 and 6 digits long.

I am hoping for help to do the following

1. Identify which rows has a string similar to this
2. If True then highlight the entire row that that string is in from Column A - AT.
3. Have this as a conditional format for the entire sheet to look for these types of values within this column

I am having a difficult time getting this to work for conditional formatting.

Thank you

Hi,

1. Select the whole range ... say A2 to AT 100

2. Add your own rule in Conditional Formatting : =LEFT($AQ2,2)="S-"
and format as needed ...e.g. fill yellow

Hope this will help
