Hi Folks
I am trying to formulate a workbook that has a data tab with the possibility for multiple entries for each client and I need to be able to get the lowest value result from one column and the highest from another and place them on another sheet in a different tab (to track weight loss in a nursing home) the complication is having multiple entries on the data tab fir each client but only wanting the "collated" low and high result on the other tab

I hope this makes sense sorry it got long winded

I currently have =INDEX(Data!E:E,MATCH(Adelaide!A7,Data!C:C,0)) but it is only finding the first result not the lowest one

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
...=INDEX(Data!E:E,MATCH(Adelaide!A7,Data!C:C,0))
but it is only finding the first result not the lowest one

And that is exactly what it will always do, it finds the 1st match, then stops looking.

I think what you need to do is either incorporate a small(if()) array into the MATCH criteria, or add a helper column that will pull out only the values for the selected individual - you can then base the INDEX on that
