Formula from one sheet to another

I am looking to do the following

=IF(R40>6000,R40*0.01) on one sheet but R40 is from another sheet. Is this possible?
 
Yep, just add the sheet name reference, i.e.
Excel Formula:
=IF(Sheet1!R40>6000,Sheet1!R40*0.01)

If you have any spaces in the sheet name, you will need to enclose the name in single quotes, i.e.
Excel Formula:
=IF('Sheet 1'!R40>6000,'Sheet 1'!R40*0.01)
