I'm just to find a formula that calculates either a positive OR negative difference returned in minute formate.

Start TimeLogged Start TimeDifferencee.g
8:00:00 AM8:20:00 AM-20

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Try like this

Select File > Options > Advance > Activate "1904 date System"
