Hello,

I'm looking to see if there is a formula that could help me get to the highlighted cell below.

Excel Facts

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
What do you mean 'get to the highlighted cell' ? Do you have a date that you want shown in that format? Do you need to refer to that cell based on another date? Something else?

Also, what do you need the solution to work with? Your profile says office 365 but your image looks more like google sheets than excel.

It is from google sheets, I don't have access to excel at the moment and was looking for something to use once I was back on it.

Yes, from the non-highlighted cell to the right of the highlighted cell is the base date and I'm looking to use that non-highlighted cell to get to the highlighted cell if that makes sense.

So you want previous month?

This should work with US regional formatting (mm/dd/yy format) but not UK (dd/mm/yy format).
Excel Formula:
=EDATE(DATEVALUE(MID(E1&" 01-"&E1,6,11)),-1)

If you are posting questions regarding Google Sheets, be sure to mention that fact in the title and/or initial post, and please be sure to post it in the appropriate location, which is the "General Discussion & Other Applications" forum (note the description on it):
This forum is for discussion about any application & for questions about applications other than Excel or Access.
This is also the place to ask about other spreadsheet programs (e.g. Google Sheets), book suggestions, or other websites.

I have moved this thread there for you.
