I know it may be something really easy but I can not seem to locate it. I like to have my "Formula Bar" visible all the time. I click on View, select "Formula Bar" and it stays. However, I have to do this every time I start Excel or open a new workbook. I am in version 2013. If anyone knows how to keep it visible all the time, please tell me.

Using a mouse in Excel is the work equivalent of wearing a lanyard when you first get to college
With Excel closed, search your C: drive for *.xlb files. (it should be called Excel15.xlb for Excel 2013). Rename it to say Excel15.xlb.old and then try restarting Excel and see if that fixes it.

could also check options...advanced...under display find Show Formula Bar and make sure it has a check by it
