I am trying to take a sheet of RDP systems where you click on a cell containing the IP of the system, it opens an RDP and fills in the IP from this field. I have the parts figured out where it displays my data and where it opens up the RDP session, but so far I haven't figured out the mechanism to insert the IP into the address field on the RDP session box.

Win 10/O365. I do not want to prefill credentials as the sheet is shareable and users will need to use their own user/pass combo when they connect.

Example:
Cell displays 192.168.15.50. Underlying Hyperlink C:\Windows\System32\MSTSC.exe ????? 192.168.15.50 There should be something here to input the desired IP automatically into the RDP form that comes up.

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple

Shell "C:\Windows\System32\MSTSC.exe /v:192.168.1.50 /prompt"

Outstanding, i will give that a try. The shell and /prompt are two things i didn't try. Will update with results.

Good morning. That works from win key + r then input the code. I'm trying to feed that into command by clicking the cell but so far it's not going well.

Insert hyperlink >> %system%\\cmd.exe || c:\windows\system32\mstsc.exe /v:192.168.15.50 /prompt breaks at the pipe instead of feeding.
