I dont know if anyone else is using Excel Everest as a program, but if you do please let me know. I'd love to swap tips!

Here's my Q:
There's an exercise in it on formatting that involves a pattern of 3 colors and a line pattern that angles alternately left and right as the rows go down. It requires using the formatting menu. So I was trying to do it correctly, and I even wondered if maybe they were wanting us to explore the Themes, but I couldnt figure out how to make a theme based on the pattern we were supposed to copy.

I can copy and paste but that would be cheating. Its thehardest exercise so being a total beginner to Excel, this is probably way too hard for me but I know how to use the formatting menu and I feel it should be in my power to do. Any tips for an exercise like thsi?
