Hello,

I am having no luck at getting this right.

I have two sheets.

In the first sheet I would like to conditional format the whole sheet - if the any of the cells match any of the contents of a column in sheet 2. The column in sheet 2 will be about 50 lines and the contents will be in the format "12-34". I only want to format cells that match this format, i.e. not text or blank boxes.

Any help please! Thanks!

Does that mean every value will have two digits before the dash and two more digits after the dash?

Yes every value will be the same format

See if this CF rule works for you:

=COUNTIF(Sheet2!$A:$A,A1)
