Hello all. Here is my problem:

Input box at the top of my screen: 370.442748091603
I need the value to be: 370.44
when I reduce the decimal places, the value in the cell changes but the value in the text box up at the top does NOT

Is there anyway to make the value in the text box change?

Any help is appreciated!

*Edit - another question would be, why is my data 13 places long? What is making it do this? This output is a result of formulas from multiple worksheets but I don't see the decimal places out that far anywhere else.

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
Excel doesn't take significant figures into account. You need to round the data manually if you want rounded numbers, not just change the number of decimals displayed. Hope this helps:

Solution
This output is a result of formulas from multiple worksheets
If your result as you state above is the result of a formula then you need to wrap the actual formula in one of the round functions @Asbestos_Jen has shown you.
I am assuming here that by "Input box at the top of my screen" you mean the formula bar, which will always show the actual value (although if you have a formula not converted to values it should be showing the formula) and not what the cell is formatted to show.

This worked perfectly. Thank you Jen
