Hello,

I would like to make Excel automatically do "Version A" or "Version B".
How could this be done with "conditional formatting"?

I found some instructions at this link (below), but I cannot get it to the end result.
Highlight odd/even months using conditional formatting in excel 2007 | Get Digital Help - Microsoft Excel resource

Can somebody here manage to pull this off?

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
  • Select columns B:C
  • Select from the menu Format\Conditional Formatting
  • Condition 1:
    • Formula Is: =NOT(MOD(MONTH($B1),2))
    • Pattern: Light blue

Hi
With your example... Select B4 through C15. Go to Conditional Formating > New rule > use a formula... and enter the following formula for Version A:

=ISEVEN( MONTH($B4) )

got to Format... and choose for color you want

For Version B. Same process as above, formula:

=DAY($B4)=1

and select a border above
