I have a worksheet with a column with date and time that I get from our IT showing all incoming and outgoing calls. The date and time column is formated to show Aug 30, 2019 7:15:22PM. I want to change the format to be mm/dd/yy hh:mm. When i highlight the column and go to custom and format the way I want and then hit enter, nothing happens until i click into each individual cell. Then it changes to the custom format. How can I get it to change to the new format without having to click in and out of each cell.

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Try selecting the column and then pressing Ctrl+H to bring up the Find/Replace dialog, then enter / in both the Find box and the Replace box, and press Replace All.

I tried that and nothing happened. They are still in the format of
<tbody>
Aug 01, 2019 1:54:13 AM

I want them in this format:
</tbody>

<tbody>
01-Aug-19 01:54
</tbody>
Sorry, misread your post. Use a colon in both the Find and Replace boxes instead of /
