Formatting column in pivot from PowerPivot data

I have a pivot that is displaying projects on rows with costs by month in columns. I want to highlight the current month data with a background color. The highlighted column would change dependent on the current month we are in. As well as the project data in the PowerPivot window I have a date dimension to aggregate the cost into the correct month. I am having issues with this because the pivot is dynamic. If the user selects data using the slicers that are not in the current month then there is no highlighting.

Any suggestions for the conditional formastting calculation I need to make so I can achieve the highlighting I need?
