Format Painter and hyperlinks

When I use the Format Painter to copy the formatting of a cell with NO hyperlink to a cell WITH a hyperlink I lose the default (and desired) blue hyperlink font color. The link is still there, but the font color changes to the source font color.

These are hyperlinks that were added by right-clicking > add link.

Is there a way to maintain the desired hyperlink font color?

I have customized the theme's font color for hyperlinks and it doesn't work.

Thoughts?
