Hi all,

I'm creating a set of checkboxes for a multi-series chart so users can select which series to display. I'm trying to group them into a groupbox but the option is greyed out/disabled:

  • I can create the Group Box via the Insert option on the Developer Tab
  • I can create and format my checkboxes.
  • When I try to assign the checkboxes to the group by Right-clicking the checkbox, and selecting "Grouping" then the Group/Regroup options are greyed out.
  • I've tried adding the Grouping Commands to the Roboon via the Options/Advanced/Customise Ribbon route but they come up greyed out.

Any idea why this is disabled?

Group/regroup isn't for adding controls to a Group Box it's for grouping multiple controls together.

If you only have one control selected then that's why that option is greyed out.

Thank you!!! It was not at all obvious HOW to select more than one, and none of the tutorials mentioned this, but now that you've pointed it out and I used the "Find and Select" feature to select objects it worked!

Thanks for your help!
