We are currently using Excel 2007, The spreadsheet has a lot of different calculators involved and would like to protect the sheet and have only certain cells accessible.
I created a form control drop down box that lists about 30 different vendors, the users would click on the drop down to select a vendor and it would populate certain information based on the vendor selected.
I "uncheck" the "locked" area under the protection tab in the properties of the control box, I then go to "protect sheet".

All the cells I need/want "un protected" are fine, the drop down will NOT let the user select a vendor though, it says it is locked/protected.

Also the table the drop down box I am linking to is on a different sheet, but those cells are also "unlocked"

Am I missing something?
Help.......

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
The dropdowns and all the cells they will change need to be unlocked/unprotected. Review each
