Good evening,

I need some help as I cannot find anything relevant on Google or the forum.

Here is my situation:

January 1st 2019, I'll open a new business; I plan on
  • signing 5,000 users the 1st month (A2=5,000)
  • have accumulated 500,000 users by end of December 2019 (L2=500,000)
  • reach 3,000,000 accumulated users by end of December 2020 (X2=3,000,000)

I would like to get a non-linear forecast for B:K , and then for M:W . Some sort of exponential growth that gives me the values for B:K , and then for M:W .

I tried the following:
  • filled in B2:K2 with a simple linear forecast =(L2-A2) / counta(A1:L1) added to each month
  • in array B3:K3 use =GROWTH(A2:L2,A1:L1)
  • then do that again for section L:X

Row 3 is ultimately what I want to use, however I am not satisfied by the result I am getting with GROWTH().

Anyone has a suggestion please?

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Hello,

You could insert a chart and then, in the layout, pick any type of trendline ... in order to get the equation you are looking for ...

The exponential equation I just got is : y = 5E-168 ^e0.0091 x with R² = 0.9262 ...

Hope this will help
