Floating Menu

I presently have a static area in Excel that has 30 hyperlinks. The issue that I'm having is that each time you want to access the hyperlinks, you must scroll to that area.

It would be nice to have a floating menu that auto scrolls when you do, like on a web page. Can this be done in Excel???

Thank you.

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Try opening a new window for the same file, so that you have two windows open simultaneously. You can arrange them so that you can see them both, for example one on the left, one on the right. Set one to be your "hyperlinks menu", and use the other one as your working area.

That is a great idea, thank you. My only issue is that the report that I have is a Production Report that requires to be completed by Supervisors at the end of the shift.

Some of these guys can barely tie their shoes. Having them manipulate a spreadsheet might be too challenging.

When they see "hit any key to continue" they actually look for "anykey" on the keyboard.

Looks like I might have to send them for some training.

Thanks again, I like your idea.

OK. There are things that you can do to help with this.
One way might be to put the links on a separate sheet within the file, and hide all columns and rows except for the ones containing the links. That would make it impossible for people to navigate away from the links (as long as they stay in that window).
There will be other things that can help with this as well, such as formating, and perhaps including some instructions.

Yes, adding them to the second sheet seems like the way to go and renaming the tab to reflect the links.

I will take that route.

Thank you.
