Fine Text between Dashes in Excel

Hello,

[TD]I need to find out text between the dashes.

1.Between 1st & 3rd Dashes ( Sem-1)

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Assuming that you can use " - " as the delimiter (rather than just a dash), you can get the two values with the following formulas:
(B112 holds your data):

=TRIM(MID(SUBSTITUTE(B112," - ",REPT(" ",100)),100,100))

returns [TABLE="width: 148"]
[TR]
[TD="width: 148"]Sem-1[/TD]
[/TR]
[/TABLE]

and

Code:
=TRIM(MID(SUBSTITUTE(B112," - ",REPT(" ",100)),200,100))

returns
[TABLE="width: 148"]
[TR]
[TD="width: 148"]MSEM-F2018[/TD]
[/TR]
[/TABLE]
