I been searching for a while to determine how many records in a data set. This is so I can determine how long it will take to import. I would like to use this information in a progress bar. I have the progress bar going, I just need to plug values in the code to have the bar move. I can make it move, but it's not accurate. The bar moves at the same speed if I have 10 records or 100 records. I think I need to get an accurate denominator so when the bar says 50% (for ex), it knows what the total will be (as it starts off) so it truly knows it's 50% of the way through the records.

Appreciate any ideas.

Thanks,
Mark

Hello,

Have you already tested FileLen ...

Code:
FileLen(Full_Path&Your_File_Name)

Hope this will help

James,

I haven't tested it. I thought about it and was thinking it won't give be the granularity I would need... Would 50 records have the save file size as 60 records, or 70 records...

I'll try it out and see what I get. Thanks for the push.
