Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
given the samples provided, it should be like this:

Code:
=MID(A1,SEARCH("$",A1),SEARCH(" ",A1,SEARCH("$",A1))-SEARCH("$",A1)+1)

Should be able to use a MID formula.
=MID(A1,FIND("$",A1),5)

The 5 at the end of the formula is saying you want the 5 characters once it finds the $.
If you have any values more than five characters long you'll need to adjust the formula.
