Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
.
The formula you can use is COUNTA.

Code:
=IF(COUNTA(C6:J6)=0,"","1")

Paste the above formula in AE6 and drag down the column.

In AF6 paste and drag down :
Code:
=IF(COUNTA(K6:M6)=0,"","2")

In AG6 paste and drag down :
Code:
=IF(COUNTA(N6:V6)=0,"","3")

In AH6 paste and drag down :
Code:
=IF(COUNTA(W6:AC6)=0,"","4")

Hello Logit, yes formulas worked with the post#1 perfectly, as my original data results are based on formulas, adapting your idea I changed COUNTA to SUMPRODUCT

Code:
=IF(SUMPRODUCT(--(C6:J6>"")),1,"")
=IF(SUMPRODUCT(--(K6:M6>"")),2,"")
=IF(SUMPRODUCT(--(N6:V6>"")),3,"")
=IF(SUMPRODUCT(--(W6:AC6>"")),4,"")

Thank you very much for your help and time

Have a nice day

Regards,
Kishan :)
