Hey there,

I have some formulas going in five straight columns, and the results from W1:AA1 result in no, no, yes, yes, yes, which correspond to 1,2,3,4,5 (the column titles, which will never change, it will always be 1-5).

I'm trying to find a formula that will identify that the first occurrence of the yes happens in cell C1, and then return the corresponding value (in this case, 3).

I'm trying the index match route but just not figuring it out. Anybody have a solution? Thanks so much!

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Something like this?
Excel Workbook
CDVWXYZAA
13nonoyesyesyes
Sheet
