Find & Replace Not Working- Returns?

Hello,

I'm having a problem with Find & Replace- I'm pretty familiar with it and have used it a bunch but for some reason Excel is returning no matches when I search for the following:

USD
(S&P 500)
S&P 500 In
dex USD

The above is entered in 1 cell WITH returns...not my formatting it is source formatting so I can't change it.

When I paste the cell contents into the Find dialog box it is reformatted:
"USD (S&P 500) S&P 500 In dex USD "

I've tried it with and w/o the quotations....
Match entire cell contents unchecked....
Yes there are other instances in the sheet...

Are the returns in the cell causing the lack of results? Anyone know a workaround?

try substitutine wildcards where the linefeeds are
*USD*(S&P 500)*S&P*500*Index*USD*
