I have an Excel macros that writes to a secondary Excel file and saves it. The macro then tells another program that it can now read from the Excel file.

The problem is that when I save the file it starts syncing with one of the cloud sync programs and the other program can't read it as the file is locked.

Is there a way I can add wait (or know) until the sync is completed and then ping the other program to read the file? I know I can use time to delay commands , but that doesn't work when I do not know the speed with which the file will save... I will end up adding wait that may be longer or shorter than the sync time.
