I need a formula to find a particular number within another number with the answer being true or false. How can I do this. Example see if 1234 is within 987612345431, true or false. In this case it would be true because it is in the middle. Or in a circumstance find 1234 in 9876-1234-5431

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Welcome to the Board!

To see if the value in cell M1 is found in cell N1, you can use this formula:
Excel Formula:
=ISNUMBER(SEARCH(M1,N1))

Lots of ways to do that.
Excel Formula:
=IFERROR(FIND(B1,A1)>0,FALSE)

Where:
A1 contains 987612345431
B1 contains 1234
