Hi,

I am requesting someone to help me with the following problem:
I have a number of dates entered in Column A out of which most of them are repeated and data in the rest of the column.

I have to find the first date and the last date and have it automatically entered in sheet 2 cell c3 "Start Date" and cell D3 "End Date"

I want this data to be entered as soon as I update the data in sheet 1.

I am using Excel 2010 with Windows 7

Thanks,
Vij

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Do you have numeric data mixed with dates in column A?

Hi

On sheet 2 cell C3 use this formula:
=MIN(Sheet1!A:A)

in D3 use this one:
=MAX(Sheet1!A:A)
This should work if the dates in sheet1 column A are formatted as dates.

You're welcome vij ;)

You might want to change the range from "A:A" to the maximum range you'll ever get, eg. "A2:A1000"
It will speed up calculation a lot.
