Find Duplicate data in rows and place X on both rows

I have data set example as follows: I want to call out the duplicate names so if A! and B1 match AND B1 and B2 match then place an X in C1 and C2. Is this possible with a formula (not VBA) or other option?

You could create a helper column in, say, Column Z.
in Z1
=a1&b1

in C1
=if(countif(z:z,z1)>1,"x","")

Fluff...what does the "|" do in your formula?

I hope that follow up question doesn't violate the posting rules.

It's just a delimiter to ensure that the formula works correctly.
If you concatenated the two value like F9&G9, without the delimiter then if you had values like
F9 = 12 & G9 =345
you would end up with 12345
and then if you had
f11= 123 & g11= 45
you would also have 12345 which would give a false positive.
