Hello everybody. Im looking for an UDF that finds the subset of columns that contains all numbers in a range such that these columns have their summed values (every column has an assigned value) as low as possible. Don't worry, this souds weird but i will provide examples to make it very clear. The UDF must be fairly fast, considering I'm using a large dataset (much larger than the sample I will give you). the UDF's input parameters should be the sequence of assigned values and the column range, while the output is the lowest possible sum of values (such that their assigned columns have all the numbers in the range). I've asked this in other forums, but no one answered me yet (lowest sum of numbers assigned to columns that satisfy a condition)

sample: sample.xlsm

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
