I have a list of employee last names and and employee number both in separate columns. I have a few employees that have the same last name. Is there a way to look up certain employee numbers in one column and then replace the value of a different column. So look up the employee number then replace the last name with the first initial of their first name and last name?

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
I think this is the simplest approach (i.e. to replace all surnames), although I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for....

Mark-
Thanks for the reply. Not quite what I had in mind. I don't have another table with the info on it. I was hoping there was a way to have a find function search for the employee number (ei. 654987) and then replace the info two columns to the left. I appreciate the help.
