I want to find and delete the “T” and everything to the right of “T” contained in the cell of a workbook. The version is cited below. Please see an example of the data string located below. The remaining cell data would only be the date (2023-07-19).

Data string example: 2023-07-19T21:39:50Z

Microsoft® Excel® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2408 Build 16.0.17928.20114) 64-bit

I appreciate your interest. Bob

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.

I suggest that you update your Account details (or click your user name at the top right of the forum) so helpers always know what Excel version(s) & platform(s) you are using as the best solution often varies by version. (Don’t forget to scroll down & ‘Save’)

How about
Excel Formula:
=--REPLACE(A2,FIND("T",A2),100,"")
