Source String: I have the string "5th Floor, Block-3," (note the comma after "Block-3").

List of Values: I have a list of addresses which contains the string "5th Floor, Block-3 " (note no comma after "Block-3", but there is a space after 'Block-3").

Required:
Refer to screenshot image.
I'm wanting to search the List of Values and return a TRUE result when the search finds a partial match of the source string......
For example, look for the portion of the source string which excludes the comma (i.e. "5th Floor, Block-3") in the List of Values and return a TRUE result.

Find this: 5th Floor, Block-3 and not this 5th Floor, Block-3,

Thank-you

Excel Facts

Excel Joke
Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Try:

Excel Formula:
=IF(COUNTIF(Address_List,IF(RIGHT(A5,1)=",",LEFT(A5,LEN(A5)-1),A5)&"*"),"TRUE","FALSE")

Or without the quotes:
Excel Formula:
=IF(COUNTIF(Address_List,IF(RIGHT(A5,1)=",",LEFT(A5,LEN(A5)-1),A5)&"*"),TRUE,FALSE)
